A video portrait of Dominique and Sylvain Levy, collectors based in Paris

The project explores the art historical tradition of the portrait, as established in painting and subsequently photography, through the conventions of new media, that is the moving image.

In the video we make the acquaintance of Dominique and Sylvain Levy, a collector couple who we meet in their home in Paris. They provide insights into their 35 years of collecting and how this journey has changed and enriched their lives, as well as describing the nature of their collection and expounding on how the challenges of the pandemic have ultimately become a chance to explore new ways of “pushing the boundaries.” (Sylvain Levy)
